If you’s in the UK, you may or may not know about the British Board of Film Classification, or BBFC: the body that rates movies and TV shows on their commercial release.
They’ve had their ups and downs: and remit, broadened, over the years.
I didn’t know they governed mobile phone filters, for example.
Which makes sense, when you think about it.
At any rate … ?
I mention it because the Today programme has told me two things.
One?
The organisation will be tightening their guide lines.
Two?
Natasha Kaplinsky’s in charge of the BBFC.
The last time I saw her, she was reading the news!

Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga scoring five out of five and Debbi and Mum on four.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

I would recheck your scores. I make it 1 person on 5 and 2 people on 4. Cottagers is the nickname of Fulham Football club because they play at a ground called Craven Cottage. The cottage is part of the football stadium. I am sure Jude will know allof those football clubs.
Q5) banks It never occurred to me to ask them where they sourced their dice locally. There are quite a few shops but I don't tend to visit them, but I'll pay more attention. Well done on the weight front. I read yesterday that they are testing a type of medication that imitates the effect of both, fasting and exercising in the body, without actually having to do any, and it seems to work quite well in rats so far (although it is not being investigated for weight loss, rather for people who have muscle degenative illnesses and can't exercise for a variety of reasons), but it sounds intriguing. I guess there are some small scale human tests being done already, but it's very early days...
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
