I mentioned, yesterday, that there was talk the government were — apparently — planning to scrap the bus fare cap: the one that’s been in place since the Cost of Living crisis.
That’s annoying: the thing’s a life-saver if you’re on a low income.
However?
The Prime Minister announced, yesterday, that the cap would go from two pounds to three pounds.
That’s …
Well, it’s not something I wanted to hear.
But it’s better than a poke in the eye …

Oh …
I’m something of a Mac fan: you’re possibly aware of that.
You’re possibly also aware that’s Apple’s new range of iMacs have dropped: at least, they’re ready for pre-order.
Q1)Given General Franco was ill? 29th October, 1975, saw who named as Spain’s provisional head of State?
Q2)29th October, 1982, saw Lindy Chamberlain found guilty of murdering her daughter: near what’s now known as Uluru. Who or what did Chamberlain claim had killed her daughter: a wolf, a coyote or a dingo … ?
Q3)What was Uluru then called?
Q4)According to the UN, 29th October is International Day of Care and what?
Q5)Finally … ? The Dutch city of Breda was liberated on 29th October, 1944. By an armoured division from where: Poland, Estonia or Latvia?
* Oh, using the oven at the same time as the toaster isn’t the problem, Olga: it’s using the kettle with the toaster. It blew again, this morning! I’ve moved the ladder near the fuse box, as a result.
Those sound like a good idea, Olga: I’ll have to ask my GP about them. That said, I think the NHS only hands them out to people with type one diabetes. (I know Apple’s making a bit thing of their new Watch: apparently, they and Google want to corner the smart watch market. That said, the USA FDA is warning people against them.)

Q1) Prince Juan Carlos (what a choice! It’s one scandal after another, but the whole of the Borbones are a caution…). It goes without saying that, democracy or no democracy after Franco’s death, the monarchy was never voted or elected.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
