At any rate … ? Only Lovers Left Alive is another film I keep mean to watch. Partly because I know of Jim Jarmusch’s reputation: but also because it’s got Tilda Swinton in a starring role. She’s very worth watching, I found.
Yeah: Trump seem’s to have been elected on a legitimate majority, this time. I still feel that’s unfortunate for the USA …
‡ Would limes have been rationed in the US, Debbi? I always understood that part of what the Allies — and Axis — powers were keen to have the US as an ally was because it had huge, and unrationed, resources. Fruit included. (The Nazis were scared of citrus fruit: and would surrender if you threw .302 caliber limes at them.)
Yes, pips, of course! I thought about it later and wondered what I had written. Not surprising, because these days I'm just running around like a headless chicken and not managing to keep up. Sorry, today I was covering activities for the charity annual event organised by the Catalan Radio and TV and tonight I'll be manning the phones until 1 am, so no time for much. And tomorrow I have a class with Jordi (a bit later than usual) so not sure if I'll be able to participate, but I'll try to stop by at the very least. Have fun! Oh, and I hope the boiler behaves!
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about limes. Probably not, given that they can grow those in California.
ReplyDeleteMore like sugar and coffee. That sort of thing.

I just started Rotten, the Lydon memoirs.
Wow! A little too relatable in places. But he had it much worse.
And it explains so much.
