The next ten question set is on 29th January: it’s about Desert Island Discs.

† Hello, Mum … …
‡ Blu-rays do come in handy, Olga: as do DVDs. The last one of those I got was Breaking Glass: the UK version is only available as a DVD. I don’t know if that’s licensing causing an issue: or simply that the companies producing the blu-rays knew there was a difference.
§ You know, I hadn’t thought of that, Debbi: but you’re right. A paperback’s battery doesn’t run out, either. Saying that … ? An ex-girlfriend of mine found audio books handy. She had an IQ in the high 120s/low 130s … and severe dyslexia …
Q5) the Soviet Union I have plenty of DVDs as well. When I was doing my PhD, not all the films I needed were available as DVDs. Some of them I only found them as VHS (and for one of them, which I only found as an American video, I had to found a videoplayer that played American videos... I doubt that it has ever become available in any other format, because I don't think it did very well commercially... But I haven't checked).
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
