At any rate, I’ve eaten a take-away pizza with my nephew, Jude.
We had an entertaining evening: and potato wedges.
Jude managed put in an impressive score on a pinball game I have.
And made another video … !

I’ve talked, over the past couple of days, of how modern streaming services means you don’t own the digital film you’ve just bought.
But can and do own versions if they’re on physical media: DVD, blu-ray, VHS, CD, what-have-you.
And — in the discussions with regular readers, since? — noticed that both Olga and Debbi generally agree it’s not the best situation.
With that in mind?
And even given I have privately-made digital copies?
I’ve managed to buy DVD copies* of three Dr Who stories: An Unearthly Child, Terror of the Zygons and The Seeds of Doom, as these are not, currently, available to stream in the UK.
Hopefully?
I won’t need to buy more.

Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga†, Mum‡ and Debbi§ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s ten question set, shall we?
* Purely for testing purposes? I’ve used MakeMKV to turn those discs into .iso files. That only took a few minutes.
† Hmmm … If I’ve understood, Olga, the TV shouldn’t’ve been the issue. The VHS machine would’ve done all the converting: assuming it was a multi-region machine. There were a few back in the day!
Cheers, Olga. Hopefully, last night’s pizza won’t have done much damage!
‡ Hello, Mum!
§ I think Dickens would’ve had more sense, Debbi!
I think Jude’s read the first Harry Potter novel: anything that gets him used to a book is good, I think. But most of the ones he has are about Liverpool FC: he’s a bit of a fan. Just don’t ask about Mo Salah, PSV Eindhoven … or what Mikey the Rabbit thinks … !
Q9) the Bible (or another religious book, I think).
Q10) musician I remember I ended up buying a TV with the videoplayer incorporated (I was renting a room in a house, so I didn't have a lot of space), and the video player was multiregion, so that worked out OK. It was a small TV and when I moved away from Brighton (well, I was living in Rodmell, a lovely village close to Lewes and Newhaven) I gave it to a PhD student who had to carry on working on her PhD. I might have mentioned her. She is from Portugal and came to visit me with her family last year, around Easter time. To be honest, I never asked her what she had done with the TV, but yes, students who move away tend to sell their stuff quite cheap (I acquired the printer of an international student, Mexican, when she moved away, at a very good price, and when my friend Christelle and I finished our year abroad in the USA we also sold or gave away a lot of things. They weren't good or expensive enough to justify shipping them, although I brought a few books back with me.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

Glad to hear he reads, even if it's football-related.
