* It sounds like it, Olga. How it happened is … well …
What always got me? Was the idea some held, in the UK and US: that vaccines couldn’t protect people from computer viruses, and the latter could infect humans. Mum’s cousin was notorious for it: and also believed Bill Gates invented computers so he could sell anti-virus software. I think the less said the better.
Oh, I’ve just checked their Facebook page: Nigel Farage is getting favourable mentions!
† Hello, Mum … !
‡ From the little I know, Debbi … ? The dictionaries — US or UK — are on our computers: they just happen to correct the spelling on anything we type into a web-browser …
Q5) Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll Wow! It just goes to prove (the thing about computer viruses and people) that some people have no understanding about how things work at all. To be fair, my mother grew up in Spain after the war and she had little access to education, for example. My father went to school a bit more but neither had access to a lot of formal education, and in Spain, with Franco, let's say that information was censured, so people didn't have access to other points of view. Ah, this morning both parents came to visit the birdies. They are getting so big that the parents spend most of the time away, as they wouldn't all fit in!
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
