Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 19th April 2025.

19th April, 2025.

It’s Saturday …

And … ?

I don’t think I’ve persuaded my nephew to have a shower.

But have helped him make more Mikey Memorial videos.

Feel free to hit the ‘Like’ button, folks.

~≈🐰≈~

It’s still Saturday … which means I’ll be watching Dr Who, today.

I’ll have any reviews up, later.

But you can watch last week’s, here:

~≈📺≈~

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        19th April is the feast day of Saint George of Antioch.   He’s also known as George the what: Confessor, Complicated or Condominium?

Q2)        The Ingenuity helicopter became the first human aircraft to take flight on another planet: on 19th April, 2021.   What planet was it on … ?

Q4)        Writer, J. G. Ballard, died on 19th April, 2009.   What did the ‘G’ stand for: George, Graham or Geronimo?

Q5)        Finally … ?   Maria Sharapova was born on 19th April, 1987.   She’s a tennis player from where: Russia, Georgia or Ukraine?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

A5)        Taxes: direct and otherwise.
Here’s a thought …
“Ewan McGregor and I had very similar first-time light sabre experiences.   We both burned ourselves!   These things are hot - they’re full of batteries!”
Hayden Christensen, born April 19, 1981.
And a song …

The next ten question set will be on 23rd April: it has a World Book Night theme.

To avoid people copying your answers, they will be published tomorrow morning.

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

Isn’t it just, Olga … ?   And your friend reminds me of an old, and long gone, school friend.   Phil went down with arthritis at fourteen!   As I recall, he had to had a kidney transplant in his forties: or possibly a liver transplant.   The relevant organ packed up: after a long time processing Phil’s meds …

What, the dictionaries, Debbi?   I don’t think they do know: all they know is you’ve spelt a word wrong.
Oh, this is the video I was talking about …

Q4) Graham

Q5) Russia
We have to wait and see what the government in the US is going to do to the health of their people, because they've chosen one of the worst people possible to take charge of that, and measles is going to end up being an epidemic if they aren't careful. There was one doctor saying that, whatever reluctance they might have towards new vaccines, it doesn't make any sense to not use these old tried and tested ones that have saved so many people's lives. But, well, common sense is not something they have any use for.
