Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 26th November, 2021.

26th November, 2021.

Right …

Let’s start with the weather: It’s officially looking chilly out.

There’s enough of a chill in the air to make heading for my weight loss class — at the bottom end of London Road — a daunting prospect.

The venue’s at the bottom end of London Road: which is quite a walk.

On the upside?

I’ve had a call from my Restart case worker.

She’s managed to find me a place with at the Chelmsford office.

It’s not that much closer, or cheaper.

But the trips shorter.

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 29th October, 2021.

29th October, 2021.

You know, it’s a Friday.

You can tell, can’t you?

Frankly, that means the day is — for me — exercise free, and not involving making videos.

So I’ve plenty of time to watch a film.

Whether I do or I don’t is a whole other thing.

But there’s certainly one I want to see.

Sometimes, coming home with shopping can be interested.

Especially when you can a phone call when you walk through the door with a couple of bags of shopping.

It turns out the manager of the local post office saw my application and wants to interview me on Monday.

At one.

Can someone remind me to put my shirts in the wash … ?

Cheers … !

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 29th October, 2019.

29th October, 2019.

Right … I actually had a phone call, yesterday: from the contractors who repair boilers for my landlord.

Well … they rang once: which means I phoned them back, near enough instantly.

It seems they’ve managed to arrange a supervisors visit for Wednesday afternoon.

The first thing I said to myself, when I put the phone down … ?

“At LAST!”

Understandably!

The sooner the thing’s repaired or replaced, the happier I’ll be!

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 29-10-2016

I didn’t know if I mentioned it, but I’m a bit of A Status Quo fan.

I’ve usually had something by the band lurking in my record collection for most of my life.

I’ve even had the pleasure of seeing them live, a few times.

So a sad bit of news has floated across my news feeds, this morning.

Rick Parfitt, one of two of the band’s members, has decided to retire from touring: as a result of his health.

It’s sad.

Mind you, I can’t say I blame him.

He suffered his third heart attack, only a few months ago.

Still: the band’s going to be a different beast, without him!
