The Daily Teaser — 2-11-2014

You know, as I get older, the harder I get to impress.

Or maybe I don’t.

At any rate something my long term readers will realise is that I’m a Dr Who fan.

And one who’s very impressed with Peter Capaldi’s first season, thus far.

Last night’s big reveal — both of the Cybermen, tucked away in an alternative dimension connected to the doors of Saint Paul’s Cathedral, AND of Missy’s identity — was one hell of a big reveal.

A VERY big reveal.

Something else has just occurred to me.

I’m not sure if Danny will survive being in the Nethersphere: last night’s episode doesn’t tell us if he presses that big red button, or not.

But one basic idea of Dark Water/Death In Heaven seems to be this: that Clara wants to enter the underworld, itself, to rescue her beloved.

I’m no expert — I’m a long WAY from being an expect — but I know some Greek myth.

And can spot a version of the tale of Orpheus, even from here.

I’m wondering … In Dr Who’s update of the tale, what’ll happen when Clara turns around … ?
