31st March, 2025: Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs/Snow White.

The Introduction.

It has got to be said: I watch movies, occasionally.

You’ve possibly noticed, haven’t you … ?

At any rate, I watch movies, and feel that I should review them: both here on Nik Nak’s Old Peculiar, and on my YouTube channel, @MrCuddy2977.

At any rate … ?

It’s a quiet Monday night.

And I felt I should watch a movie.

Something I’ve felt I should do, over the years?

Is simply watch films that have some sort of worth to them.

Which is why I’ve all sorts of things, over the years: Nosferatu, for example, Der Golem, or The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, as others.

More recent ones, too: Close Encounters, or Blade Runner.

I’m using the term ‘recent’, loosely, there: but you get my point.

I’ve tried to see things that are viewed as historically significant.

Which is why — as I’m burning sausages to death — I’m writing this.

It’s to let you know that — given the fuss about the live action remake, and given I first saw it as a child — I going to watch the original Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.

Even if it’s not my usual thing.

Given that, I’m going to give this a watch, tonight: then let you know what I thought about it by tomorrow, Tuesday, 1st April.

21st December, 2024.

Right … it’s now, officially, the shortest day of the year: and — according to the quick Google search I’ve just done? — sunrise is due at 9:20.

There are — as ever — a lot of people at Stonehenge, celebrating the fact.

Frankly?

And much as I’d love to join them?

It looks like it’s going to be raining!

Blow that … and the earworm it rode in on … !

It’s a day for videos!

As … ?

My nephew, Jude, was over, yesterday.

After we’d done the toying around with Image Playground — I won’t post the picture, they “… make my nose look flared!” — he managed to make a video, and post it to YouTube.

Make of that, what you will!

Right … 

It’s now the Solstice.

Which means, of course, that’s it’s the shortest day of the year.

It’s also mean the day that — notionally — I’m supposed to get the window at the back of my hallway.

The handle had broken.

Except … ?

The chap actually turned up a day early.

So it’s done.

I’m thankful.

I’m off to work, today: I’d’ve hated to be late to work because a workman was late!

I was looking at the wrong bit of my schedule!
