You’re possibly aware I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to get hold of Jon Pertwee’s second season as Dr Who.

And I’m ripping it as we speak.

Just so you know?

In both those screens shots?   The smaller of the two pictures is my original DVD rip: the larger, the blu-ray rip.

With the blu-ray rip being only one hundred and sixty or so megabytes bigger: for the same sort of picture quality.

On top of that?   There’s at least one extra ‘Behind The Sofa’ extra, per series.

As well as a whole extra disc full of extra features.

I’m happy with that.

You know, I had an interview, yesterday.

In Romford, it has to be said.

Which … 

Well, it seemed to go well.   I and my interviewer had the usual sort of give and take one gets at these things.

I’ll only know for sure: next Monday, when — if — they call.

I’m hopeful.   Frankly, it seems like an ideal job for me.

But I’m also realistic.   For all I feel I did well, however ideal a fit I feel I maybe, however well I feel I may have got on with my interviewer* … ?

I’m realistic enough to admit, I may well not get the job.

If I hear nothing, come Monday?   I’ll know for sure.

Now …

I’m going to admit I’m not — as Grub and Kevin D will tell you — not a sports fan.

With the possible exception of being something of an armchair Snooker person, as and when it’s on … And I’m paying attention to it.

I get a bit erratic …

But I thought I’d extend my sympathies to the Wales Rugby Union team, who’ve just lost the first World Cup semi-final a Welsh side has got to since the 1980s.

It really does seem a shame: especially when you can consider the team captain was sent off early into the game.

And that they eventually lost to France, 9-8!

I’d be gutted, personally!
