OK … it’s now Saturday … and I could tell you about Amazon’s latest delivery disaster.

I won’t: beyond telling that, when I order three boxes of something, I expect them to turn up at the same time.

When I’ve paid a little extra to get everything in the morning, I expect to get everything in the morning: not get two in the morning, and one in the evening … after I’d sent a complaint email to the jeff@amazon.com address.

I’ve finally finished my review of For All Mankind’s third episode.

I can’t help but notice that there’s wildfires in Spain and France: Madrid’s under serious threat, and parts of the Gironde are doing badly.

There’s wildfires in Scotland and Wales, too.

I live near a small patch of parkland that’s mostly used by dog walkers who — for the most part — don’t seem to smoke.

Something I’m thankful for: I’d hate to see a fag-butt triggered wildfire near me.

But, given the world seems more prone to wildfires than it did … ?

I’m very aware a fire could be started by anything.

And seriously hope it won’t.

Especially given that you’ve got a calendar, somewhere!

At any rate … ?

I managed to catch Outpost, last night: a film I last saw back in 2009.

It still looked as good as it did, back then.

Although it does get you wondering.

The thing stars the late Ray Stevenson*: and … ?

I’m sorely wishing he’d survived whatever it is that killed him, last year.

Given his performance in Outpost, Rome and Ahsoka, I’d’ve love to see him in more!

Oh …  I’ve just had a phone call: from Elenor, at Microsoft, on 07564 531 783.

According to their records?   And over the past couple of days?

There’s been errors coming from my computer.

She went silent, and put the phone down on me: when I asked why Microsoft, of all people, were phoning about errors coming from a Mac.

You have to laugh.

I know I almost did!

25th July, 2023: The Leak … !

Oh, now that’s sad … !

One of my neighbours lived with her partner: just — literally, just — around the corner from me.

‘Lived’, I should say.

Unfortunately?   When I got up this morning, it was to a torrent of Facebook posts telling me the woman had died.

Something I was able to confirm with her partner: who phoned me, earlier, today.

He’s obviously grief stricken.

What could I do … ?   Bar offer my much needed sympathies?

I don’t know.

But that’s what I did: along side the usual words, “If there’s anything I can do … ?”

Here’s hoping there’s something …

I know this morning was possibly not the time to ask him … but I’m wondering if his name was on the tenancy?

It’s nothing serious: just a bit of checking on some minor deformation I’ve lived with for years.

I noticed this piece on the BBC’s news-site.

A chess playing robot has managed to injure the school boy it was playing.

Quite what wrong, there, I don’t know.

But?   You can bet someone’s going to start banging on about Skynet.

Or the Terminator.

Or how robots are going to kill us, and take over the world!

It’s official: I’ve been hanging around websites: and doing my exercises.

To be honest?   I managed to get some more bits done: for the course I’m on.

That’s a good thing: I do have the habit of lolly-gagging.

I’ve always had a new batch of exercises in: that are supposed to help with my knee.

I’m not sure I’m enjoying these ones: I can hears things creaking!

In other news, O2 are telling me the work on the local phone mast is done.

At least, according to the website.

Oh no … it isn’t … 

You possibly caught the post I put on Instagram, yesterday: the building where the mast is supposed to be, is having cladding done … !

Yesterday saw me having to take a day off: after my innards flared up.

Not something I want, as, after all, it means a loss of income.

But at least I managed to catch iBoy, last night.

Which is rather fun, if you like mildly cyberpunked urban gangsters.

I mean … Razer got knocked out in round one?   

Which was unbelievable.
