Is any one else in the UK … ?
I am.
And frankly? It’s starting to look wintery!
It’s not been snowing in Brentwood: we’ve been saved that, thankfully.
But the temperature is distinctly low.

You’re possibly aware of the London Bridge terrorist attack on Friday.
And possibly not surprised that it’s getting political.
The government’s announced that it plans to review the early release conditions for those imprisoned for serious terrorist offences.
Personally?
I think that’s stupid.
As, from what I can see, getting released early — as a reward for good behaviour and doing the various rehabilitation course on offer — in prison?
Is one way of encouraging good behaviour, in prison and out of it.
Talking of which … ?
I saw the attackers lawyer, interviewed, yesterday.
According to him, Usman Khan had asked for help being de-radicalised whilst gaoled for an earlier terrorist conviction.
And been refused.
Due to a lack of money, according to a news report on Radio Four, this morning.
Personally?
Usman Khan committed two murders on Friday.
That refusal by prison services? That lack of cash for a budget conscious prison service, reinforced by a cost-cutting government?
Those person bear some responsibility for those deaths.

Just as a final thought?
Apparently, there was a sonic boom over parts of the south-east, in the early hours of this morning.
I must have slept through that.
But it does leave me thinking I know a song about it …
