Well, that’s a thing … 

If you were reading me this morning, you’d know a thing or two.

The main one … ?

Being that several officials from FIFA — the governing body of football across the world — have been arrested by members of the Swiss police, working with the USA’s FBI.

On corruption and — surprise surprise — racketeering charges.

I’m no fan of football.

Never HAVE been.

But I’m very aware many people I’ve met, whilst working as a barman, have been.

The general opinion, from those fans … ?   Was that, if a body the size of FIFA wasn’t corrupt, then I,  — the 5ft 2in barman, over there — was tall enough to be a basketball player.

Go figure!

The Daily Teaser — 27-5-2014: Saint Petersburg

You know, I think the phrase is “Uh-oh” … possibly … 

You see, I’ve just looked out of my window: and the BBC’s weather app seems to be as accurate as ever.

It’s been pissing down.

And looks like it’s going to keeping pissing down for the rest of the day.

And possibly for the rest of the week.

Now, my GP always encourages me to make sure I take a walk, every day.

And, bless her, always manages to hand out a meaningful look, if I don’t.
