I’ve received a pre-paid card from Southend Council run scheme.

That’s very well timed … especially as I get some benefits, tomorrow!

Either way … ?

I’ve put some money on the gas.

Hopefully, I’ll built up a lot of money on the metre, by winter: that’s when I’ll really need it.

20th September, 2022.

Yes: the late Queen’s funeral is now done.

And life — for those of us outside the Royal family? — goes on.

I watched it on TV.

After all, the last state funeral the UK held was Winston Churchill’s: back in the 1960s.

So it was something worth watching: a national event that happens rarely.

Thankfully.

Personally?

And equally as thankfully?

I’m glad it’s over: and that life goes on.

These things are an endurance test.

But?

I think the expression on Charles’ face, on the King’s face?

Isn’t going to be an easy one to forget …

In other words, I know a man who looks like a psychotic Time Lord, happy to kill everything and anyone for fun … 

Who has access to dental drills.

It’s not what you call reassuring … !

Noted anti-semite, and conspiracy theorist, David Icke, has had his Facebook page taken down.

Well … 

That I’ve managed to get hold of copies of a couple of albums.

Well, you’ve possibly worked that out, haven’t you, given the album covers … ?

It probably hasn’t surprised you to find out I’ve a copy of Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells, and have done for some time.

What I’ve also managed to bag, recently … ?

Are copies of Hergist Ridge and Ommadawn, his second and third albums, respectively.

And I’d also suggest you get them.

Or at least, give them a listen.

Being in a nice — warm — flat, listening to the rain whilst it falls, and hits the ground, whilst quietly playing side one of Tubular Bells … ?

I wish I could say so for sure, I really could.

Unfortunately … ?

Having the window open, this late, so that I can hear those raindrops, also means my place is just a touch nippy.

I may have to shut the window, and let Mike Oldfield* do his tubular thing.
