Right, then: I had a late night, last night.

Posting the latest in a series of reviews!

As I think that review — and today’s intro — show, I’m gradually getting the hand of Final Cut Pro: although a better camera may help.

Either way … ?

I’m just grateful that — in today’s introduction video — I manage to use the Magnetic masking effect: to remove the background in a few seconds of video that needed it.

Both it and the review, do well.

Right at the moment, I’m feeling slightly stressed.

As … ?

I have a dentist appointment at 12·30.

So I’d like to get out sharpish.

But … ?

The video version of today’s Teaser is taking a devil of a time to upload and process.

I don’t know.

But it’s a little worrying … !

Yes: I’m off to my weight management class, again.

I’ll lost something.

In addition to my wits, sense, brains, money, and lord knows what else!

Which is always a big job.

I’m am grateful I’ve got the machinery I have, though: the 2024 model mini I have, makes quick work of the process.

At least, of the exporting process.

That’s always helpful.

Yes: I’ve woken up, this morning … to find the boiler’s needed to be reset … again!

Yes: I’m going to phone my landlord’s boiler contractor’s, today …

Yes: it’s Thursday, again.

Which means, of course, I’m at my Thursday weight loss Zoom meeting.

I think it — and the Friday one, which is due to restart, tomorrow — are possibly helping: I’m down a few ounces.

Saying that … ?   I’ve re-booked an appointment with my GP: for towards the End of the month.

To talk over a potential referral to use various weight loss injections.

We’ll have to see what happens.

The Ukraine* is … concerning … isn’t it … ?

There’s talk, today, that Russia may be ablaut to use chemical or biological weapons in the conflict.

There’s talk — from Poland — of donating jets to Ukraine: via US military bases in Germany.

There’s concerns about Russian forces occupying nuclear power stations in the Ukraine.

There’s discussion of what happen, were NATO forces attacked by Russia.

There’s worrying news that some soldiers from the UK army have got Absent Without Leave: presumably, to join the Ukrainian International Legion.

That could be bad.

British troop on the ground, however voluntarily, however unofficially?

Could risk Russia declaring war on NATO.

I’d rather they didn’t.   Things are bad enough, as it is.

10th June, 2021.

Yep: we have a partial solar eclipse, due today.

You know: where the moon blocks out the light of the sun.

I wouldn’t mind catching that: assuming I’m out, and it’s not cloudy.

It’d be the second one visible from Brentwood, in my lifetime.

Here’s hoping.

Right … I’ve got Radio Four playing in the background: the interview, on Sunday night, seems to be causing a stir.

Understandable.

I suspect the thing will be running and running and running … 

At any rate?

That’s not necessarily what’s caught my news eye.

The thing that did?

If you recall, a young woman called Sarah Everard disappeared, last Wednesday: somewhere in the Clapham Common area.

I was thinking the case would turn into a protracted one.

But the police have moved rapidly.

Overnight, a man has been arrested in connection with her disappearance: a woman on charges of assisting an offender.

The man is a service officer in the Metropolitan Police: in a move police describe as a “serious and significant development.”

Police have also described the development as “shocking and deeply disturbing.”

Frankly?

I can’t see how.

A police officer is just as capable of wrong doing as anyone else …

Yes … it’s a Sunday … 

And frankly?

It’s looking like it’s going to be something of a quiet one.

Well … 

I’m not planning on doing much, I know that much … 

Bar the usual: house work, jobhunting, making videos …

Those … and the usual panicked, last minute, reorganising of finances!

It’s true, though: at least I think so.

Radio 4 is possibly the most civilised thing to have on, at this time of the morning.

Right now?   Right nows it’s 5:58, and iPM is on in the background.   Complete with a story about a woman’s whose mother married … as a possible result of her extreme vascular dementia.

Which was and is … rather worrying, when you think about it.

After all … someone with that condition won‘t necessarily be capable of making an informed decision, especially in later stages.

What to do … ?

Well … if you think of any ideas, I know I’d be curious to hear them … !

Unfortunately?

I had to take the day, off ill, yesterday: the innards were playing up.

Frankly?   I couldn’t — here and now — tell you what I’d eaten: apart from the fact I think an iffy sausage roll was involved.

About the only upside?

Was simply that it let me catch the last two episode of Mr Robot.

Oh, well …

I’m back to work, again: and having a long weekend of it!

As part of a short week!

Granted, that means I’ll have less pay next week: and, yes, before you ask, I AM putting in for other jobs.

Who knows what’ll happen, there.

At any rate?

Yes, I’ve had a short week.

But, yes: I managed to watch a film: and catch the opening episodes of Stranger Things.

That’s a rather fun piece of TV …

The Daily Teaser — 10-3-2016

Ah-HA!

I’m officially not having a day off.

Which sounds, strange, I know.

Originally, though?

I’d been rota’d to have today off.

But was contacted, last night, and asked to worked: as a colleague had gone off ill.

While I don’t like the loss of a day off, I’ve been getting more and more easily bored.

So a day’s work — and the cash that’ll bring in — is welcome.

It means I can put a little bit extra into my savings account.
