Yes: I’m off to the Job Centre, today.

And … ?   I’m vaguely looking forward to it.

I’ve an interview, tomorrow: and I’m trying to arrange the fare to get there.

Hopefully?

That’ll go through rapidly, and be the right amount.

The last fare I tried arranging?

Was a fiasco.

Can I make a quick confession … ?

I’m not a video gamer: beyond playing casual games like Tetris, on my phone.

But … ?

A clip of Keanu Reeves just floated past … as he’s playing an NPC in the upcoming X-Box game, Cyberpunk 2077.

That caught me … as the original role playing game, Cyberpunk 2020, was a favourite.

The background world was quite the thing.

At any rate … ?   Getting the console for just the one game would be a serious waste of money.

But I wouldn’t mind a look at that: just to see what they’ve done with the background.

You know, I’m very tempted to say nothing …

But, in truth … ?

Today’s my birthday: I’m another year older and wiser.

Well … 

Another year older, let’s put it that way.

I don’t know that I’m getting any wiser.

But … ?   I AM realising that, the older I get … ?

The less time I — indeed all of us — get: and the nearer we all get to death.

I don’t know about you … ?

I like being alive.

And death, the great big end that comes to us all?

Scares me the life out of me …

Ye gods, but that’s SOMETHING … 

I told you — yesterday — I’d dropped a terabyte capacity external drive: complete with some 800 gigabytes of media and family photos.

I’m … 

Well, the word ‘unhappy’ is the one that sums it up best.

Or, at least, most politely.

At any rate, I’ve managed to find a local local computer repair place: one that’s happy to try getting what it can off the drive.

I’m thankful I’ve a little cash to at least put down a deposit, there.

Otherwise?   I’d DEFINITELY be onto a losing streak.
