8th November, 2026: Monty Python’s Life of Brian.
Right … I now have three new pairs of glasses.
Yes: three.
One for working at my computer, another for reading in bed, and a third for watching TV.
They seem OK, for the most part.
Although I suspect I’ll have to tinker with my display’s settings, to avoid eyestrain.
Here’s hoping.

Just as an obscure point?
Today’s earworm is Althea and Donna’s “Uptown Top Ranking”: possibly the first song I can remember hearing in Jamaican English.
What was surprising?
Was quite how young the pair were, when they wrote the song!

Just as a last point … ?
I had a phone-call, yesterday.
From someone inviting me to join a ‘whisky investment plan’.
Or possibly a ‘whiskey investment plan’.
It’s possibly the most pointless call I’ve ever had.
I don’t drink: so it’s on a par with asking a devout Catholic to invest in a condom factory.
Understandably?
I politely turned the offer down.
Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

Your comments, and today’s answers, will be published in tomorrow’s Teaser.
AI is used to suggest themes for some dates: but avoided when writing the questions.
Answers are as accurate as possible, at the time of writing.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Hello, Mum! (Interstellar was released in 2014, Mum, rather than 2016.)
† Portmeirion’s a gorgeous place, I’m told, Debbi: I’ve never actually been. I’ll have the money, one day.
Oh, I know today’s set is a ten question one … but I figured the theme would appeal.

I love it when people comment. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively adult. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
If you can also leave you comments on today’s Teaser Video, that would be good.
Thank you.
