Doing them well, on the other hand?
Is a whole other matter.
One thing that’s easy to do — as I know from work — is typing errors.
Which I suspect might have something to do with one piece of news I saw, yesterday.
It’s
seems a marketing firm working for the US Republican party has given access to 200 million people’s details: leaving it easily accessible on a public cloud server.
Those details? Could easily be used to commit all sorts of cyber-crime.
For starters, you’ve a whole pile of names, addresses and phone numbers: complete with details on the person’s opinions, and preferences.
I’d imagine whoever’s gained access to that? Will be wallowing in criminal opportunities.
I’m not sure for certain: but I’d imagine that sort of information is going to generate a lot of personalised phising emails!
According to the news?
The firm that held the data made a mistake with the accessibility settings: which meant anyone with the link could get to it.
Anyone.
But say they have since modified those settings.
I’m betting the reason the settings were the way they were?
Is because someone’s made a simple mistake: as simple, say, as accidentally picking the wrong item from a drop down menu.
It’s that simple, that easy …
