Right … it’s officially Wednesday … and … ?

YouTube seems to be behaving itself, and uploading today’s Teaser video: and has already finished uploading today’s intro video.

The version of that introduction I’ve uploaded to the blog post … ?

Is getting deleted: as, going by the preview I’ve looked at, it’s going to be ‘Unavailable’.

Why this is happening?

I don’t know.

But if you have an ideas?

All that said?

I think I’m getting the hang of Final Cut Pro’s Magnetic Mask option: it’s used in that same introduction video, to remove my flat.

If you understand what I mean!

At any rate … ?

It means I can do some experimenting, at some point.

One final thing about Final Cut … ?

Is that it can import projects from the iOS version go iMovie.

Which is handy: if you’ve got an iOS device with an iMovie project on it.

However, the Mac version of Final Cut can’t import projects from the macOS version of iMovie.

That strikes me as a flaw.

Right … it’s Tuesday … !

And … ?

I’ve officially put on weight: about a hundred grams: roughly a fifth of a pound.

I think I’m going to have to lay off the crisps …

I had another reason to go to town, yesterday: in the afternoon.

My left lens popped out.

In my spectacles.

I’m grateful my opticians were able to fix to, and do so for free.

But resent the fact I’ve had to go up Warley Hill twice in one day.

Hmmm … 

Apparently, the Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, had a meeting with Labour MPs, last night.

And said that the Government is going to have to cut benefits, in order to reduces costs.

As one of the suggested ones is Personal Independence Payments, one of two benefits that I’m on?

I’m, understandably, concerned.

I know there’s a general attitude: that God — or the Government — giveth and taketh away … but it’s not something I like the sounds of.

Long term regular, Olga, lives in Barcelona: and has visiting birds, visiting ocells, nesting in a tree outside her flat.

It’s official, I think: spring is on its way …

Right … it’s official Monday: I’m up early, and just finished a bowl of Bran flakes.

And got Ça plane pour Moi on in the background.

There are times it’s the only to get an ear worm out of your head!

I’m up early: to go to my weight management group.

Hopefully?

I’ll have lost weight: after two weeks of staying the same.

I’m having to walk, today: in the rain.

What that’ll do, I don’t know!

I managed to catch a movie, last night.

Right … it’s now Saturday.

You’d noticed, hadn’t you?

It’s also the day after I’ve had a boiler repair man over: to sort out my boiler.

The problem?

Was that it was losing pressure, overnight.

He’s not fixed it.

But has shown me how to depressurise the thing: and advised I keep a diary of when it loses pressure, over the next few days.

And phone back in, next Friday, should it repeat itself.

Frankly?

I’m going to be doing that.

And not surprised by what’s causing it.

It seems the valve that regulates the pressure — ones that has caused problems before now — is acting up.

The more things change … the more that stay the same!

I’ve just had another look out side my window.

The weather?   Looks half way decent.

Which is a good thing: assuming it stays nice.

I’m on two weight management programmes, at the moment.

One — Thursday’s — is via Zoom meeting.

The other, on Friday’s, restarts (again!) today.

Nice weather would be handy: as it’s quite a walk to the venue where it’s held.

I’m not a football fan: but am following the news about the Ukraine.

I’m very aware that Roman Abramovich, the Russian owner of Chelsea FC, has been sanctioned by the British government.

Which is understandable, given the circumstances.

Personally?   I have to admit, I don’t like sanctions: the ones we’re imposing on Russias or Russia, and the ones being imposed on us, by Russia.

I think they’re too heavy-handed, affecting people in no way connected to the conflict.

That’s especially true in the case of the Abramovich sanctions.

If I’ve understood it, correctly?   The club can play its remaining fixtures, but cannot sell tickets or merchandise.

There’s talk the club may go bust.

As I’ve already said, I can understand why the British government has done this.

But, when Abramovich was making visible, public, efforts to try and sell the club?

I can also criticise their timing.

Giving Abramovich an extra week or two, a bit more time to at least start the sale process?

Giving him extra time to do that makes sense.

It’s basically football … for trucks, cars and lorries.

Hmmm … 

One upside of the whole Covid lockdown?

Is the fact that — in the quiet you get when there’s little travel, little in the way of traffic noise — you can hear birdsong.

OK: most birdsong is male birds say “STAY OFF MY BUSH,” as loudly as possible.

Or yelling “I’M SEXY: LET’S REPRODUCE,” as seductively as possible.

Today … ?

There’s none of that.

Not with the wind that’s going on … !

If you’ve been following Nik Nik’s Old Peculiar for the past few days?   You’ll’ve noticed I — like many of us — have been following the disappearance of Sarah Everard*.

Yesterday?   The policeman who was arrested for her kidnap has been re-arrested: on murder charges.

Yesterday?   Human remains were found: ones being linked to the case.

My sympathies are with the family.

My memory goes back to the Yorkshire Ripper.   And looks at the recent interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

And asks if Sarah Everard had been black, or a prostitute working in the area?

Would there be this level of press interest?

My cynical side says “No.”

Right now, that’s about the best thing I can say.

As, after all, I’ve got myself up at six: in order to get into work at eleven.

And finish at ten o’clock, tonight!

That sort of sleepiness?   Is possibly something that contributed to a minor event, yesterday.

I managed to treat myself to a couple of cheap films^: Blu-ray copies of Hellraiser and Trainspotting.

Got home … 

And then, with all due thoughtlessness … ?

Put Hellraiser in the fridge.

One of these day’s I’ll put my brain into gear!

The Daily Teaser — 11-3-2016

Right … 

That went well … 

I mentioned, yesterday, that I was due back into work: a day early.

Basically?

Someone went off ill.

I’m not complaining, as this means I’ve earnt myself some overtime: and can (hopefully) leave some in my savings account.

Not that the cash in there, lasts for long, but at least I’ve got SOMETHING!

At ANY rate … ?

Today I’m OFFICIALLY back to work.

For nine hours.

OK, At least one nurse I know will give me a meaningful look, here … 

But that’s a long ol’ shift … !
