OK, the Beast from the East … ?

Right now … ?

Right, my street has a light dusting of very light frost.

That’s lightly sticking around in the very light snow.

That’s not to say there’s not going to be problems.

Right now, parts of Kent are snowed under, Lincolnshire’s looking bad, and there’s sub-zero temperatures predicted for tonight, here in Essex.

Frankly?

The sooner this weather eases, the happier I’ll be.

The Daily Teaser — 27-2-2015

Hmmm … 

That’s a worry … 

You know I’m now working, don’t you?

Although I’m on a low income, as I’m working part time.

And, as such?   As such, I can still claim housing benefit: help towards my rent, in other words.

I also have to let my local council — who administrate the benefit — know, whenever it changes.

I last did that, a few weeks ago: by talking in my last batch of pay slips, in order to show I’d had a reduction in hours.

I got told I’d hear, with-in about three weeks, what would be happening.

And haven’t, as yet, heard back.

That’s … mildly concerning, I must admit.   I’m assuming any delay is due to the changes introduced, under the government’s Universal Credits scheme,

But … ?   Well, the ‘but’ is simple.   But I don’t know know for sure.   And am mildly concerned at having heard nothing.

It’s … annoying … !
