Star Trek Picard — Series 3 Episode 10 — The Last Generation — A Review

21st April,  2023: ‘The Last Generation’.
*Spoilers*

Right … it’s Friday, again: and I’m hoping like hell that my chips haven’t burnt.

I’m having fish and chips, again.

So you know.

Frankly?

I’m looking forward to it.

As … ?

Once I’ve eaten, I’ll be watching ‘The Last Generation’, the last episode of Star Trek Picard.

We’ll have to see how it goes!

Star Trek Picard — Series 3 Episode 9 — Vox — A Review

14th April, 2023: ‘Vox’.

Right …

It’s officially Friday.

And, frankly … ?

Chips are being cooked, washing is being washed, video intros have been made, and stuff, done.

Including phone calls.

The mystery of why we’re supposed to eat fish on a Friday … is still unsolved.

But at least I’m having crinkle cut chips.

At any rate … ?

It’s Friday, once more: and, once I’ve eaten dinner?

I’ll be watching ‘Vox’, the penultimate episode of Star Trek Picard’s third and final season.

I’ll have my review up on the 15the April.

Star Trek Picard — Series 3 Episode 8 — Surrender — A Review.

7th April, 2023: ‘Surrender’.

Right … it’s Friday, again.

And … ?

Even as I write, vegetables are boiling, chips are cooking …

And fish is being burnt to billy-o.

At any rate … ?

Dinner is almost done: to a turn.

And, once it’s eaten?

I’ll watch ‘Surrender’, the eighth episode of Star Trek Picard’s third season: and tell you about it, tomorrow night.

Star Trek Picard — Series 3 Episode 7 — Dominion — A Review

31st March, 2023: ‘Dominion’.

It’s Friday, again.

You can tell, can’t you … ?

The eternal mystery of why we’re supposed to have fish on a Friday is playing itself in front of me — or, at least, to my immediate right — as I write.

Or, at least, I’ve got fish and chips — and some vegetables — on the go as I speak.

Why … ?

Why not?

~≈🖖≈~

At any rate, there’s something else I’ll be thinking about.

Yesterday?

I had a one hour appeal hearing: about whether I qualified for extra financial help from the Department of Work and Pensions.

Hopefully, I will: but … ?

Until I hear — by post, by the 7th April — I won’t know for sure.

It’s both a mystery … and a mildly frustrating case of wait and see.

~≈🖖≈~

At any rate … ?

And I’ll say it, again … it’s Friday.

Which means simply this.

Once I’ve had dinner, I’ll be watching ‘Dominion’, the next episode of Star Trek Picard’s third and final season.

I’ll have my review up, tomorrow.

See you then!

Star Trek Picard — Series 3 Episode 6 — The Bounty — A Review

24th March, 2023: ‘The Bounty’.

Frankly … ?

It’s Friday: and … ?

Fish and chips are being cooked, as ever.

And … ?

Equally as frankly, I’ve just seen this video:

And am wondering why many Americans boil water for tea … in the microwave!

That … ?

Like fish on a Friday, is possibly one of those mysteries we’ll never know the answer to!

At any rate … ?

It’s Friday, 24th March: and I’ll be the next episode of Star Trek Picard — ‘The Bounty’ — tonight.

And then?

Reviewing it, tomorrow.

I’ll see you then!

Star Trek Picard — Series 3 Episode 5 — Imposters — A Review

17th March, 2023: ‘Imposters’.

*Spoilers*

Right … it’s Friday … and … ?

I’m getting nearer to eating dinner.

But nowhere nearer the reason we’re supposed to eat fish and chips on a Friday.

Beyond the idea that a bishop told us too.

Or … that we fancy a walk to the chippy.

I know I do: but I’m having home made, thank you.

I couldn’t afford a take out, unless you paid me.

The tip jar’s on the right, if you’re feeling generous!

At any rate … ?

It’s Friday.

And, once I’ve had dinner?

I’ll be watching the next episode of Star Trek Picard … then telling you what I thought about it, tomorrow night.

Star Trek Picard — Series 3 Episode 4 — No Win Scenario — A Review

10th March, 2023: ‘No Win Scenario’*.

It has to be said: life, sometimes, is full of mysteries.

Yes: it’s Friday

Yes: I’m preparing dinner.

And yes: I’ll be watching the next episode of Star Trek Picard, tonight

And — as a fourth yes? — I’m having fish and chips.

I’m still clueless as to why we’re supposed to have fish.

Except it ties into when the UK — or England, at least — was once a Catholic country.

Basically?

‘A bunch of bishops said so’.

Heigh ho!

~≈🖖≈~

At any rate … ?

It’s Friday night, I’m going to watching ‘No Win Scenario’, the next episode of Star Trek Picard’s last season.

I’ll have my reviews up, tomorrow night.

You can find out what I though of it …

Tomorrow night!

Star Trek Picard — Series 3 Episode 3 — Seventeen Seconds — A Review

3rd March, 2023: ‘Seventeen Seconds’.

Right … it’s official Friday, 3rd March.

Which implies a few things.

Yes: it’s my birthday, tomorrow.

I’m going to have my usual Saturday night review up, a little earlier than expected.

Or possibly later.

One of the two.

If you’d like to make to make my weekend, and buy me a Mac Studio … ?

You’d be welcome to!

It also implies I’m cooking my usual dinner.

Fish and chips … again.

I know that — here in the UK — we’re have the meal as a result of Roman Catholic religious practises from the time we were a collection of squabbling Catholic nations.

If someone with half an idea could let me know, I’d appreciate it!

At any rate … ?

And to reiterate?

It’s Friday, and I’m going to be watching ‘Seventeen Seconds’: the next episode of Star Trek Picard’s last series.

And … ?

I’ll have my written and video reviews up, tomorrow night … once I’ve had a celebratory birthday meal.

Star Trek Picard — Series 3 Episode 2 — Disengage — A Review

SPOILERS!

24th February, 2023: ‘Disengage.’

Right …

It’s a Friday: again.

And?

Even as we speak, vegetables are boiling, chips — or, at least, chip shaped rose potatoes — are cooking …

And fish … ?

Is, likewise, being cooked.

Why … ?   I still don’t know.

Explanations on the back of a postcard, please!

~≈🖖≈~

At any rate, the point I’m trying to make?

Is that it’s Friday: and, again?

I’m going to watching another episode of Star Trek Picard, tonight.

Episode two, so you know: called ‘Disengage.’

I’ll have this review finished, and posted, tomorrow night.

I’ll see you then.

Star Trek Picard — Series 3 Episode 1 — The Next Generation — A Review

17th February, 2023: The Next Generation.

Right … I’ve officially got dinner on the go.

Fish and chips: again.

This time last Friday … ?

I was telling you about classic Doctor Who series, ‘The Crusade: the last episode, at any rate.

And Sunday?   Saw me watching — then reviewing — episode two of For All Mankind.

Right now … ?

Dinner’s a’cooking.

Fish and chips, again.

Once that’s eaten?

I’ll be settling in to watch ‘The Next Generation’: the first episode of Star Trek Picard’s third and last series.

You’ll find out more, tomorrow: when I publish my written and video reviews.

The Daily Teaser — 19-8-2014

Right, I’m up early, again.

Yes, in case you’re wondering: I’ve another early start at the local Job Centre, doing my daily job search, there.

I have to admit, I like their public computers they use.

It’s a pair of HP PCs, running a much simplified version of Ubuntu.

Very simple: the only thing you’ll see on the Desktop are a web-browser (a version of Firefox), a word-processor and a spreadsheet (Open Office).

The system’s aren’t a bad user experience.   But does have it’s problems:
  • You can’t change the mouse over to left handed use: a major crime as far as I’m concerned.
  • You can’t easily save a web page as a .pdf from what I can see: a useful function I use for my records.
  • Lastly, the Job Centre’s IT department doesn’t seem interested in updating the systems: the web-browser is an older one, that couldn’t be used with a couple of jobs (or their webpages) I’d recently put in for.
Hopefully, though … ?   These are things that can get worked on.
