I meant to mention this, yesterday.

But, if you’re on certain benefits in the UK, you qualify for the Government’s Warm Home discount: a £150 payment that goes onto your electricity bill.

Mine … ?

Went onto my meter, on Saturday afternoon.

I’m grateful.

It means that — on my next payday — I can put the money I spend on electricity, onto my gas bill.

The older I get, the worse my circulation feels, so the warmer I prefer it.

Either way, that payment’s welcome.

The fact the batteries had run out on my thermostat, this morning … ?

Wasn’t … !

If you’s in the UK, you may or may not know about the British Board of Film Classification, or BBFC: the body that rates movies and TV shows on their commercial release.

They’ve had their ups and downs: and remit, broadened, over the years.

I didn’t know they governed mobile phone filters, for example.

Which makes sense, when you think about it.

At any rate … ?

I mention it because the Today programme has told me two things.

One?

The organisation will be tightening their guide lines.

Two?

Natasha Kaplinsky’s in charge of the BBFC.

The last time I saw her, she was reading the news!

The show’s interviewed Lord Simon Wolfson, the CEO of Next.

He’s said in the interview that the UK’s current immigration policies are not helping businesses: as it’s not letting workers the country needs, into Britain.

Speaking as a Remainer?

I’m going to sit here and be smug.

As the man’s having to eat his own Brexit supporting words.

I have To say, I’ve got Radio 4’s Sunday Service, on at the moment.

The minister conducting the service, the Very Reverend John Witcombe?

Has just told us we need to be more Christ Child like.

I’m not quite sure what he means … but I’m assuming he doesn’t mean waking up screaming at three in the morning, and messing your nappies …

At ANY rate … ?

I have to admit, when I opened up YouTube, this morning?   There was a trailer for Disney+’s The Mandalorian staring at me.

It has to be said, it looks good: and wondering if it would be suitable for my eight year old nephew.

The one thing that does get me?

Is that it’s on Disney+.

Am I the only person thinking there’s possibly too much choice — and money — involved with with modern streaming.

That’s before you looking at the fact that Disney+ goes live in Europe on the 31st March.   Some four and a half months after its US debut, on Tuesday.

Personally?

I think torrent sharing sites like Pirate Bay, and the illegal streaming sites used by Kodi, will have copies before we do in Europe.

You’d think the legal providers would learn …
