The Introduction.

Right … with dinner on the go — fish and chips, as it’s Friday — I have time to write an introduction.

To a movie review.

Yes: it’s a quiet Friday, with little to do.

But watch a film: the Ridley Scott directed, Harrison Ford vehicle, Blade Runner.

I’ve been meaning to catch up with the original cut for some time.

And, after a recent purchase?

I’ve finally got a copy of Blade Runner I feel I can watch.

By the time you read this — on or after Sunday, 9th February, if all goes well — I’ll be able to let you know what I think of the version I’ve seen.

Yes: I’ve officially had toast for breakfast.

Frankly?

I might just just have to swap the musli for porridge: I usually don’t end up feeling so hungry.

I caught a movie, last night: the 2020 Netflix film that is The Old Guard.

It’s possibly worth watching … but please bear in mind I gave it one star for a reason … !

OK … I was expecting the electrician out, yesterday.

And was told — when I phoned the office — he’d be with me, today: between eight and five.

Five o’clock would’ve been the point where I’d complain.

Except, of course, the man’s right here: fiddly around with a thermostat and a screwdriver.

Yesterday saw the announcement of the death of Monty Python star, Terry Jones.

The man who directed Monty Python’s Holy Grail … ?

Gave the world much: and will be much missed.
