It’s still official: I still haven’t received a payment from the Department of Work and Pensions.

I know: because I’ve been compulsively check my bank since the decision.

Saying that?

It’s Saturday: so it’s about what I was expecting.

It’s still frustrating to see, though!

Oh, just as a confession: if this post seems a little delayed.

I’ve just found a game on Apple’s Arcade service called John Bottom.

It’s fun, addictive … 

And very reminiscent of an old ZX Spectrum game called Jumpin’ Jack … !

25th May, 2018.

Yes: I had a day off, yesterday.

And frankly?

It’s one I spent in Brentwood Theatre, would you believe?   Watching my kid sister, Ruth — Jude’s Mum, in other words — in the chorus of the Brentwood Operatic Society’s production of Spamalot, would you believe?

Rather entertaining, that.

And also positive proof that at least one member of the family knows how to overact with a fish* … !

Have you been watching Humans, on Channel Four?

It’s a fascinating little series, now on it’s third season: and one I record religiously, to watch back later.

My only complaint?

Is literally that I have to record it.

Rather than watch it on my Apple TV.

In theory?   If I had an iPad, I could download the Channel Four Catchup app, and stream the show over to the Apple TV.

Problem solved.

Except I don’t actually have an iPad.

If the show were on the BBC, ITV or Channel Five, it wouldn’t be an issue: they all have catchup apps for the Apple TV.

A lot of the main UK TV services do.

Except Channel Four.

It’s frustrating, annoying, deeply disappointing … 

And, these days?

Something that puts me off watching Channel Four’s output.

I’m just listening to the Today programme on Radio 4: and they’ve just had a piece on how the charity, Bernardo’s, trains up foster carers to look after kids who’ve been trafficked.

*        Actually, Debbi, have you thought about maybe getting an iPad … ?   MPEG Streamclip isn’t — as far as I know — on the iOS app store: but iMovie is, as is Pages and Keynote.   Plus, going by my iPod, it’d be fairly easy to use, one handedly   (You can get one of the smart covers, as well: and, I’m told, getting an Apple TV, in conjunction with it, and watch stuff on the iPad, on your TV, via the Apple TV.)
