Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 21st August, 2021.

21st August, 2021.

It’s got to be said, I’ve had a look out of the front door of the building: and the day is looking distinctly overcast.

With the BBC’s weather service telling us it could get wetter …

That’s nice: it’ll make buying some margarine a pleasure.

He says, layering on the irony …

I’m someone who likes a movie, occasionally: you might have noticed.

I might just watch one, tonight: we’ll have to see.

I do know, though, that No Time To Die — the much delayed James Bond film — is now getting its world premiere on 28th September: with a full release, two days later.

Frankly?   I’m looking forward to its VOD release.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a James Bond film.

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 21st August, 2020.

21st August, 2020.

Right … I’m officially happy …

My video’s uploaded to YouTube, and the photo and video uploaded to this post.

Unlike yesterday: the Sylvester McCoy video upload was a car-crash!

I suspect the mess was linked to whatever caused Gmail’s issues, yesterday: but couldn’t say for sure.

Even so …

At any rate … ?

I mentioned, a couple of days ago, that I had applied for a a European Computer Driving License Course.

I’ve got the assessment booked for it.

AND have an assessment for a work at home job, pencilled in.

Except, of course, I need a Windows-based laptop for both — one with a solid state drive, and an ethernet port for — before I do them.

In theory, I can claim funding for both from the Health and Work programme I’m on.

Which I’ve asked for.

Apparently … ?

My case worker’s referring it to management …

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 21-8-2016

Oh, I hate those long shifts …

I know I was moaning about it, yesterday: and HATE to repeat myself.

But … ?

Somewhere in the works of Sir Terry Pratchett — and I forget which book — is a  throwaway line about getting drunk: along the line of having ‘red-hot curried eyeballs.’

Well, I’ll HAPPILY admit to not being a drinker.

For about a decade and a half, since you ask.

But, right now?

After a shift like last night’s?

I THINK I know what Sir Terry meant.

I think an afternoon nap’s going to be providing some metaphorical, and very welcome, yoghurt!
