Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 23-4-2022: Saint George’s Day

23rd April, 2022.

Right … I officially didn’t go shopping, yesterday!

I was running slightly late.

Which means … ?

I’m going shopping, today.

Which is a shame: I don’t think it’s the weather for it!

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 23-4-2018: Saint George’s Day.

23rd April, 2018.

Right …

Something I worked out, last night was that my left eyelid has started to work.

Started, I should stress.

Which is good.

A few weeks ago … ?   I managed to go down with Bell’s Palsy: a type of facial paralysis caused by an infection.

On the left hand side of my face, so you know.

So the fact that I’m starting to be able to wink … ?   However imperfectly?

Means I’m recovering.

As for prayer … ?

I mentioned, yesterday, that I’d prayed: hard.

Despite being an agnostic.

I’ve been having money problems, recently: and, despite my agnosticism, have found prayer to be … helpful.

It allows me to make the assumption that someone’s listening.

And, even if not listening, taking direct action, or offering advise?

Then, at least, getting my subconscious to grind into gear, to come up with an idea of how to deal with the situation.

Something concerning me, yesterday, and last night, watching Hotel.

Something I can do, today.

I can only hope that the phone call I need to make?

Goes well.

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 23-4-2017: Saint George’s Day

Right …

Once again, it’s a Sunday.

And once again?

I’ve not seen Dr Who.

No spoilers, now!

I’ve already had to tick one person off!

Moving on?

You’ll realise it’s Saint George’s Day?

It’s also World Book Night.

And I have to admit, I didn’t manage to get involved, this year.

Shame, really: one of the books they’re giving away is Of Mice and Men, which I read at school.

Shame I can’t remember how I felt about it: I should maybe remedy that, at some point.

The Daily Teaser — 23-4-2014: William Shakespeare

It’s official …

It’s World Book Night … !

And you know what that mean’s, don’t you?

It means it’s Free Book Time …!

AHEM!

Just so you know, World Book Night’s been going since 2011: the idea is to encourage reading for pleasure.

The charity that organises it has a list of books, each year: and arranges for multiply copies to be given to a horde of Givers — volunteers like me — who hand them out.

Be warned …

You COULD get lucky … !
