Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 7-6-2018: Sony

7th August, 2018.

Hmmm … It’s looks like I’ve officially got another day off, today.

Which means, of course … there’s going to be laundry done.

The thought occurs … that laundry seems to keep occurring!

It’s seems to keep turning up.

On a more entertaining note?

I’ve dinner at my family’s, pencilled in for later.

And may JUST have time …

For some more TV.

Who knows.

The Daily Teaser — 18-12-2014: Piltdown Man and Other Frauds.

Hmm …

That’s a first …

Have you been following the news, recently?

If you have, you’ll realise that The Interview — directed by Evan Goldberg, written by Dan Sterling, starring Seth Rogan and James Franco, distributed by Sony Pictures, and having a negative portrayal of North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-Un — was due to be released on Christmas Day, this year.

That release has been cancelled by Sony.

After a severe cyber attack linked to North Korea.

Personally … ?   Personally, I think I can appreciate Sony’s actions.   After all, some of the threats made were … distinctly worrying, let’s put it that way.

Mind you … ?   I’d not mind seeing The Interview.   OK, it could well be a seriously bad film.

But if Kim Jong Un and his country don’t want me to see it?   I think I’d like to have a look at it.

Just because …

The Daily Teaser — 1-7-2014: Walk Like A Walkman

Well …

That’s a start …

You’ve been following me for a while, haven’t you … ?

And probably realised I’ve have had my out of work benefits stopped: over being put off a Mandatory Work Placement scheme through — I believe — no or little fault of mine.

Understandably … ?   Understandably, I’ve spent most of the weekend running the gamut of emotions: from depressed, to suicidal, to thoughtful … to outright steaming anger, with a hair trigger that — given the wrong circumstances or too many beers — have done some damage.

I’m thankful yesterday was a Monday, though.

That meant various offices were open.

And meant that I could put in an initial appeal — called a Mandatory Reconsideration — against the decision to suspend my benefit, and could put in a claim for hardship funds.

What happens now … ?   What happens, now, is very little: and mostly involves me hurrying up and waiting.

Frankly … ?   Frankly, I’m expecting the worst to happen: although I hope any hardship payments enable me to get by, for now.

Either way … ?

It feels good to have been able to have done something positive.
