I also need batteries.

I have a monitor to help me keep track of my blood glucose levels.

The batteries died, a few days ago.

Which for me looking up how to change them, as well as where to get more.

My GP surgery suggested my pharmacy.

My pharmacy told me to check with the device’s manufacturers.

The manufacturer … is sending me some for free!

Hopefully?

The things will be here, by Saturday.

All I have to do then … ?

Is change the batteries.

I’m going to need a ball point pen … …

And, frankly, I’m up early.

Yes: I’m off to the hygienist, again!

It’s also try to say that my nephew, Jude, was over last night.

Yes: there’s another video made.

One that was something of a learning experience for us.

We now know exactly how long it takes to edit and upload  roughly thirty-seven minutes of 4k video to YouTube.

Oh … 

If you’s in the UK, you may or may not know about the British Board of Film Classification, or BBFC: the body that rates movies and TV shows on their commercial release.

They’ve had their ups and downs: and remit, broadened, over the years.

I didn’t know they governed mobile phone filters, for example.

Which makes sense, when you think about it.

At any rate … ?

I mention it because the Today programme has told me two things.

One?

The organisation will be tightening their guide lines.

Two?

Natasha Kaplinsky’s in charge of the BBFC.

The last time I saw her, she was reading the news!

Yep: I was up late (ish) last night.

Writing a review — and making the video equivalent — of ‘Imposters’, the most recent episode of Star Trek Picard.

This morning … ?

I feel shattered!

More shattered than I’ve felt for some time.

Quite why … ?

I have no idea: but have a funny idea it’s something to do with the increased dosage of Semaglutide I’m on.

I’ll have to check with my GP, the next time I speak with her.

Right … 

I had a phone call, yesterday.

Some time back, I put for extra help demo the Job Centre: for various extra benefits.

I had the assessment, late last year.

I’m still hoping to get them.

However?

I got turned for them on the 16th.

So … ?   I requested a mandatory reconsideration: the first stage in an appeal against the decision.

On the 17th.

I got the official phonecall — and a chance to offer extra evidence — yesterday.

That’s something I did with a certain amount of nervousness.

After all, I don’t know how much help it’s going to be: I’m fully expecting a second turndown, at some point.

We’ll have to see.

Yayness!

I’ve officially had a delivery!

Of two foot of rubber hosing, so you know.

Just so you know, or start thinking I’ve got really odd habits?

I’ve got a CPAP machine: a machine that lets me breath, whilst asleep.

The hose … ?

Is a replacement for the hose that connects the machine to the mask I have to wear.

I fitted the thing, as soon as I got it.

It’s nice to have a good night’s sleep, after all.

I have to confess: I felt bloody awful, yesterday.

My innards were playing up.

I’ve a range of exciting medical conditions: including recently diagnosed diabetes.

But also … ?   Don’t get enough vitamin D.

Which is why I usually take supplements.

I had to take a lot, yesterday: as my stomach was feeling revolting.

Revolting enough that I got to bed at 6pm.

And had — effectively — 12 hours sleep.

I’m still not feeling completely right.

But a lot better than I was.

Except, possibly, for the inevitable earworm.

Was Not Was’s Semi-interesting Week.

Which seems appropriate, somehow.

I have to say, I had dinner with my family, on Sunday.

And I’m wonder what the hell that toy is … !

For a company in Brentwood.

With my confidence being as low as it is, I’m not expecting to get very far.

But, as in all these things?

Well … My main screen is fine: it’s what I’m using to write this, in fact.

My second monitor?

My second monitor, died, yesterday: quite why it started flickering, then gave up the ghost?

I really couldn’t say.

But I want to get a new cable: just to rule that out …

In other news, rock and roll legend, founding father and song-writer extraordinaire, Chuck Berry, has died: at the age of ninety.

Only weeks after completing his first album for 40 years.

What can I tell you?

Except that the man was one hell of an influence: especially when you consider the Beatles, the Stones and many others, were influenced by him.

Ninety years?   Is one hell of a good innings

A having a seventy odd year career, during that?

Is fantastic.

Being THE icon … ?

Well … 

He’ll be missed …

I’m working, tonight: which is all good.

But I’m doing six thirty until the branch closes.

Something I’ve not done for a while.

Understandably, I think, I’m a little apprehensive.

Partly … ?   I don’t necessarily want to be seen as completely incapable.
