Yes: I’ve had some — ha! — time off.

Given you know I’m not not working.

Still … I’m back to the job hunting grindstone: tomorrow.

And the day after that.

Actually?

That’s a Friday: and I know I’ve a telephone interview arranged for that.

Here’s hoping it leads to a face to face interview.

I’m keeping myself occupied in the evening: with the odd TV show.

Edge of Darkness — Episode 5: Northmoor — A Review

Right … 

I have to admit, I’m … mildly strange.

Winter never exactly leaves me feeling good: even if we can argues that it’s late autumn, and not that bad … yet … !

At any rate … ?

I’ve seen something of a co-incidence, today … 

In this morning’s Teaser*?   I mentioned how I felt Jeremy Corbyn was being picked on for his support of the IRA … when many Tory governments were just as bad.

Then I went to Brentwood High Street, to do some shopping.

And found that, just out side the Brentwood branch of Marks and Spencers … ?

Was a bunch of Labour activists.

Co-incidence?

Yep.

Meaningful co-incidence?

I very much doubt it.

Co-incidence or otherwise, it’s a Saturday night in: and I’ve been meaning to catch up with a certain  TV show.

Edge of Darkness — Episode 4: Breakthrough A Review

Yes: I’ve been officially baby sitting my nephew, Jude, tonight.

Believe it or not … ?

We’ve been eating pizza: and watching the assorted Youtube adventures of a gamer called Mr Crainer.

Along side Slogoman and Jelly.

Frankly?

There were a lot of electronic cows involved.

Oh, and exploding cows, chickens, pigs and sheep.

It has to said, it’s one of the few times where I’ve had a deeply passionate conversation about whether that’s an exploding TNT cow, or an exploding TNT sheep.

It was a sheep, so you know.

The thing got sheared.

Look, it makes sense, when you’re eight … and convinced your uncle’s missing the important stuff*.

At any rate, after Jude went home?

I got the TV set to myself.

I fancied something with a distinct lack of electronic animals.

And, given that I’ve been watching Edge of Darkness?

The fourth episode seemed appropriate.

Edge of Darkness — Episode 3: Burden of Proof. A Review

Yes: it’s officially official … 

My knackered boiler is still knackered … 

It’s a long story.   But I’ve had at least three engineers out: to tell me the thing needs repairing or replacing … 

At least one of whom told me to contact my landlord: last Friday, a the report should have gone through by then.

As it turns out?

The phones were down for maintenance … and due back up, today … 

But were down again: due to unforeseen circumstances … 

I’m going to be busy in the morning … 

Ho … bloody … hum … !

At any rate?   It’s a quiet Tuesday night.

Which means more TV, as far as I’m concerned.

Frankly?

Another episode of Edge of Darkness seems just the thing …

Edge of Darkness — Episode 2: Into the Shadows. A Review

It has to be said, it’s not often I whinge.

Much … !

At any rate, it’s not that often I whinge about Apple: I’ve had a love affair with their Mac computers for a couple of decades.

I have, however, recently upgraded to macOS Catalina: the most recent version of the operating system.

Famously?   The update replaced the iTunes app with an Apple Music, TV And Podcast app.

I’m not happy.

With the iTunes app, you used to be able to add music, films, TV shows and podcasts into a Wishlist that you could return to later.

You could also share the item on Facebook on Facebook or Twitter, or copy the link for posting into a blog post.

These are features still included in in the Music app.

But aren’t in the TV or podcast app.

Personally … ?

I’m not happy about that.

Little things can be so important …

I’ve got the blu-ray version of the first Matt Smith series of Dr Who stewing in the backgrou, I’ve had a rather nice dinner at my family’s … 

I wanted to catch some TV.

Edge of Darkness — Episode 1: Compassionate Leave. A Review

It has to be said, there are nights where a movie would be nice.

No, really.

It would be nice to sit down, watch a film, write about it, and then go to bed.

I’d like to: but there’s times I’m really not in the mood.

Last night?   I really could not sit still with a copy of The Creature from the Black Lagoon, for example.

I just couldn’t get into it, for some reason.   I suspect staying up late to watch Midsommar, the night before, put me off my stride.

Maybe.

I don’t know … !

At any rate?

I wanted to watch something, tonight.

And, even though I’ve a few movies sitting in the collection?   Including a few horror films I know Old Peculiar regular, Badwolf Anne* would appreciate hearing about?

I wasn’t necessarily in a movie sort of mood.

Something I’ll have to see if I can’t remedy.

OK … I wasn’t in a movie mood … 

I was wanting to see a TV series.

Something I hadn’t necessarily watched, already.

Something that’s been a legend since it’s original screening in 1985.
