I’ve seen episode five of Lovecraft Country: that’s one possible thing.

The other thing … ?

I had my usual fortnightly meeting with my Job Centre caseworker, yesterday: which went well enough.   I’ve managed to arrange a video meeting for next time, avoiding an expensive bus fare, at the same time.

Yes: I know the Job Centre reimburses me.   But that’s partly how I managed to argue my way into a video.

I didn’t want my case worker wasting public money!

The other thing I should mention … ?

I had a phone interview, yesterday afternoon.

Which went well.

At least … it went well enough that I have a video interview — via Microsoft Teams — next Tuesday.

Here’s hoping …

I’ve baby sat my nephew, yesterday, seen a film — Hellraiser: Judgement could’ve done with a bigger budget, I think — and done …

One thing I know I did do?

Was read this article: which tells us about the Russian man seeing Apple for ‘turning him gay.’

I have to admit, I laughed my head off, at first.

Like a phone app’s going to turn you gay.   Or straight.   Or black.   Or white.   Or left-handed.

I know I’ve been left handed since I was born: Apple certainly didn’t hit me with a mouse and force me into it.

What’s more?    He apparently chose to start dating men, after receiving an app called GayCoin: complete with a note — apparently in English — saying ‘Don’t judge until you try.’

Try what, exactly?

On top of that?

The only references to the app I can find?   Are links leading to news report of the story.

Rather than to the app’s listing on the Russian iOS app store*.

That doesn’t mean it’s not on there.

Just that I can’t find it with a regular Google Search: although there is one revealed by a quick look through DuckDuckGo, using TorBrowser.   (The websites, I should stress, here.   Not any apps.)

That pages times out, I should add.

Personally?

I know times are tough for the Russian LGBTQ community.

But I’m deeply sceptical about this man’s case.
