And a song …
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
The quizmaster’s decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Hmmm … I might have to re-word that Imperial State Crown question, Olga, if I use it again. I don’t know if she wore it at the Coronation: but the one she officially uses is St. Edward’s Crown. It’s the one the British government usually uses as a logo.
At any rate … ? I’ve managed to [ut the Civl Service course on hold: it’s a week long course, with nine hour day, and — as I told my case worker — seems a bit too much work for the amount of civil service jobs I’m getting sent. We’ll have to see what the other course offers.
And the Rat Man’s due at ten: I’d better get my teatowels off the boil, just in case they’re in the way.
† Hello, Mum! (Alexandra ended up with some of them, Mum: I think the Queens got a lot of the loose ones.)
‡ Cheers Edith. (It seems Om Shanti Om — the film Deewangi Deewangi’s from — is on iTunes: I’ll have to have a look.)
^ Ah the ol’ Holmes memory thing, Debbi. Quite what he’d make of a pub quiz, I don’t know!
Oh … Nation is STILL the best thing Terry Pratchett wrote!
Now … Tell Me it’s Sam!!!!!!
“Depend upon it there comes a time when for every addition of knowledge you forget something that you knew before. It is of the highest importance, therefore, not to have useless facts elbowing out the useful ones.” (From A Study In Scarlet.)
ª Quite what the Oscar winning Sir Anthony Hopkins would make of that …

Q4) The Pentagon
Q5) Sicily
Good luck with the Rat Man! Reading again about the two crowns, it seems that she would have worn the Imperial State Crown at the end of the ceremony, or at least that is what it says, so it depends on how you define "at the coronation"... If you consider the whole ceremony, she wore both, although not at the same time, evidently (why they need two... or any, is beyond me, but I'm not that fond of monarchy, as you've probably guessed). Check the first sentence in the usage section:
