9th April, 2025: Paul Robeson.
Right then …
Yesterday, I officially had a visit from an occupational therapist: from Essex County Council.
They were very efficient: and, hopefully, will be able to help with the cupboard situation.
And — possibly — help with some deep cleaning.
It was also — on a personal front — something of a pleasure.
Turns out the therapist was a bit of a Mac fan!

On other fronts?
It’s something of a busy week.
As I have a meeting with my Job centre case worker, today.
Thankfully, by video!
That’s a lot easier on my knees!
Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga†, Irene‡ and Debbi§ putting in their answers: with Olga, Mum and Debbi scoring five out of five and Irene on four.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s ten questions, shall we?

Here’s a thought …
“The artist must take sides. He must elect to fight for freedom or slavery. I have made my choice. I had no alternative.”Paul Robeson.
And a song …
The next ten question set will be on 23rd April: it has a World Book Night theme.
To avoid answers being copied, they will be published tomorrow morning.
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Hello, Mum! (You were anonymous, yesterday!)
† The could be a factor, Olga. Saying that? We have an ‘eat well plate’: that’s supposed to act as a portion guide. I have definitely over done the spuds, going by mine.
‡ Morning, Irene … ! How’s the day … ?
§ It’s always piles, isn’t it, Debbi … ?

It sounds as if the visit went well. Finger crossed everything comes to pass. I discovered yesterday that one of the events the radio station normally participated in (for Sant Jordi, Saint George, where there are fairs of books, and roses, and writers normally go on stalls and sign their books to their fans), called 'Passeig per la lectura' (Promenade or Walk through reading or literature) where there would be associations talking about literature, people presenting books, and we would do a live programma related to literature and books... Well, it has been cancelled because the local government (Town hall) used to provide funds for it, but no longer. We will do something, but will join another event organised by Castellers, so it will be a bit different, but better than nothing, I guess....
