Right … it’s official: my review of the latest episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has been delayed.
As I had my nephew, Jude, around, yesterday.

I’ve got a phone being delivered, tomorrow: on the same day as my Weight Management group.
Normally?
I’d rearrange the delivery date after I’d spoken to the delivery firm — DHL, in this case, who are usually very good about these things — about the time of delivery, OR arranged for a neighbour to take things in.
Except … ?
The neighbours who usually do this for me are on holiday: and others may or may not be able to help.
I can’t talk to someone in person, at either O2 or the couriers, until tomorrow: the day of delivery.
Emails — and phone calls! — don’t get answered until then, either!
Frustrating … ?

† I have to admit, I saw Serenity, Olga: without having seen Firefly. I never got the chance to catch the thing: although it’s been on my To Be Watched list of a while. I do know Joss Whedon has an iffy reputation, but is also rumoured to have played a game called Traveller, back in the day: the campaign he organised is supposed to have provided the roots of Firefly¶.
(Going by the results of a quick Amazon search? It looks like the film’s had the 4k treatment, but not the series.)
‡ You mean Call of the Wild Jack London, Debbi … ? I have to admit, I don’t know much about him: although his Wikipedia entry says he was a bit of a socialist: that may be why the KGB had a thing about him.
Apparently, he closed his letters with the phrase “Yours for the Revolution”: and there’s a Jack London Lake in the far east of Russia!
¶ I read Foundation, a few years ago, Olga: it’s only then I realised quit where Traveller got some of its ideas! I mean, Traveller even calls its early Emperors, Cleon! (The TV version of the character — the Lee Pace version, Brother Day — is a slimy so-and-so! I trust him about as far as I could comfortably spit him!)
Oh, about your delivery... I know here they have come to deliver things for me, and even when I've been home they have ended up leaving them somewhere I can just go and pick them up, but I don't know if you have a pick-up place somewhere nearby. (To tell you the truth, the problem is the company' s sending me the replacement batteries. They only put the number of the building but not the flat, and there are almost fifty flats in the building, so I can't imagine the delivery person will ring all the buttons until he finds the right one. I've phoned them and they told me they had corrected it, but it happened again only a couple of months ago, so...
