Q3)Black Saturday occurred on 8th August, 1903. It saw the collapse of stadium seating, at a baseball game in which US city: New York, Philadelphia or Chicago?
* Hello, Mum! (It was Switzerland and Abbey Road, Mum!)
† Ah … that’s one of those questions, Olga! Usually, when a terrible crime happens, someone asks “How could they do that?”: and my only answer is “Very easily”. I know, that’s deeply cynical: but these things are so far beyond my comprehension, that that seems the only answer I can give.
The comments for that daughter-in-law … ? Well … words fail me …
‡ Um … Penny Lane’s in Liverpool, Debbi. It’s not quite the same as driving from New York to LA, but it’s not a short trip … !
You know, people keep raving about Firefly, Debbi. One of these days, I’ll catch up with it. Mind you, it took me forty odd years to see Max Headroom.
Q5) Siberia Yes, indeed. Imagine how the mother must have been feeling already. Oh, and I saw your comment about Firefly to Debbi. I discovered it when I watched Serenity, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I've watched and I enjoyed it. I think you would as well.
Oh, so that's where Liverpool is! :) I never thought to check the map. Shame on me.
We'll just have to make at least two stops in England. Maybe even go to Wales! :-O

The author I just interviewed was held and interrogated by the KGB for two days. (If you want the details, he goes into those during the interview.) He said they were "very polite" and seemed fascinated in the works of Jack London.
They kept asking him about Jack London. Isn't that interesting? :)
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
