There’s a teacher in Southend called Jude Nzemeke: who teaches computer science to primary school children.

In a recent BBC News article, Mr Nzemeke has gone on the record to say he feels teaching computer games — or, at least, how to play computer games — would be a good way of interesting children in computer science.

Is he right … ?

I don’t know.

But playing a lot of Tetris could have made lessons fun … !

*        I can imagine, Olga: the html code that underpins Blogger post is equally odd, I think.   It’s certainly counter-intuitive, if you’re used to a human language!   There’s logic to it: just not the logic we’re used to!

        A good time was definitely had, as well.   (It was nice that Connie, the regular chef at the local chip shop, was back on duty: her mother, Cath, who I’d not seen in years, had been covering for her, for a couple of months.)

        I think fandango is one of those words: it’s a useful stand-in for anything else, even if the dance is nowhere to be seen … !

†        I’m surprised you’ve not seen the photo before now, Debbi: it’s been floating around for a while … !

        I can see where you’re coming from, with The Italian Job …

        Did you ever hear “Embarrassment”?   Bit of a dark story, there.   It was written by Lee Thompson, the band’s sax player: and tells of his family’s reaction to his younger sister having a mixed race child.   There’s a happy ending to the story, it seems: the child has been welcomed, in the years since her birth.
