As an extra thought … ?
I’ve got the Today programme on: who’ve reported that Eli Lilly — the makers of the injectable weight loss drug, Mounjaro — has designed a weight loss pill.
And hoping it will be introduced into the UK, in 2026.
Whether it’s going to be helpful to someone like me — I’ve been using Mounjaro for some time — is a whole other matter.
But … ?
I get the impression from the Today programme that this pill would be aimed at those of us looking to lose weight, looking to supplement lifestyle changes.
Those of us who want to lose weight: not just those of us who need to lose weight.
We’ll have to see, won’t we?

I hope the weight loss group went well. We'll have to wait and see what the medication ends up being and for whom, although it would make it even easier for people who might object to needles...
Yes, it was quite weird, and I only found out about the lady's injury because I came across her and the people helping her as we were close to the end of the walk, otherwise I wouldn't have known. There are so many people in the walks that unless you happen to be there or walk by when something happens, you won't know. It's the third time that happens to me. One of the times I was walking behind an elderly man who fell down, and another time I came across a person who had had some kind of fit, although he was walking with others and the ambulance arrived at the same time I did. We were only about five minutes from the end of the walk on that occasion, and when I mentioned it to one of the organizers he told me nobody had told them anything. And he reminded me that the best thing to do was to phone the number in the card, as they could access directly the ambulance that was attached to the walk, which could get there sooner.

BTW, I just wrote a weird short story in which Death became a character. And then, it occurred to me that I'd never done that before, but I think I was inspired by Terry Pratchett. So, I had the character talk in small caps. :)
