I know it’s not much: but I’m mildly impressed with my work, there.
Mind you … I could just be impressed by the spookiness of the backing track …

Something I do know?
Is that one trillion dollars — $1, 000, 000, 000, 000 — is about £763, 000, 000, 000 in Sterling.
A lot of money, in other words.
Enough — if the little I’ve understood about economics is correct — to knacker the economy, if it was spent in one go.
Assuming he meets the relevant targets, and according to the renumeration plan approved at a Tesla share holder meeting, yesterday, it’s also the amount of shares Elon Musk will get over the next few years.
Assuming he meets the targets.
I know that’s shares: and the amount of money he gets, cashing them in, can down as well as up.
But … ?
One trillion dollars is a bit much money for one country: let alone one person!

As a thought … ?
I’ve heard from the family of Old Peculiar reader, Trevor.
He’s alive and well.
Or wellish.
He’s been transferred from hospital to a nursing home in town.
Here’s hopping it helps his health.

As a last thought … ?
It’s International Inuit Day.
So?
Bobby the Cat’s dressing up, to mark the occasion …

Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Debbi† and Irene‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.
Q2)Actor, Tony Todd, died on 6th November, 2024. He played the titular villain in which horror franchise: The Crow, Hellraiser or Candyman?
A2)Candyman. You can’t imagine a better bit of casting. (Barker’s original take on the character was fairly non-descriptive: it was Todd who put in the work.)
Q3)Racketeer, Arnold Rothstein, died on 6th November, 1928. What was his nickname: Pinky, the Brain or Mumbles?
Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Hello, Mum!
† That doesn’t surprise me, Debbi: from what I’ve understood, films change in the course of production, and in the editing room. What ends up on screen, isn’t necessarily on the page.
I don’t know if you’ve read/seen Watchman: but I felt the ending of the film version was as good as monetarily possibly: I think the comic’s ending would’ve been way too expensive. Saying that? I don’t think the film’s version of Rorschach¶ worked for me: for all that Jackie Earle Haley gave a good performance.
‡ Morning, Irene: how IS the day … ?
§ I know exactly what you mean, Olga! Did you ever hear the term tempo rubato? It’s a musical term that refers to a piece of music that speeds up and slows down. Apparently, it translates from Italian as ‘stolen time’: but I think ‘rubber time’ would be better. But it always seems apt, when we’re talking about how time seems to change speed …
¶ Apparently, Debbi, the character supposed to be left handed. My copy of the Watchmen novel’s gone astray, so I can’t check!
Q5) tattoos Hey! I made it! I am sure Einstein's relativity theory and its variants would have something to say about all these time-related questions... I am attending one of the workshops for carers tomorrow, and Saturdays tend to be busy days (both items I could have covered for the radio this week fell on days when I had meetings, so, other than the family photo we have taken every years, that will be on Sunday afternoon this year, not much on the radio front, although I think they are trying to look for things that are nearby and not too long for me). The Elon Musk thing... I wonder, though, because when he was working with Trump, many people gave up on Tesla cars, and some were even set on fire, although I am not sure if that is an ongoing issue, because people have very short memories these days. Not that Trump is doing any better without him...
Don't I know that now! We had to improvise a bit when one of the actors couldn't make the second day of shooting.
Definitely didn't follow the script/plan/original shot list. :)
What interesting music.

It just occurred to me that filmmaking is a little like life itself. You make plans and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. But you adjust as you go. :)
My, how deep. :)
Goodness. This stuff is almost psychedelic. :) In parts.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
