Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 1st December 2025.

1st December, 2025.

Right … you’ll possibly remember me mentioning that a house not far from my place had burnt down.

Sadly … ?

It seems that at least one person has died: and another — I’m assuming the spouse — is seriously injured, and still in hospital.

Thankfully — or not, depending on your point of view — the police are treating the event as non-suspicious.

So … ?

That means it was an accident: and not murder.

That possibly doesn’t makes things easier for the survivor.

Yes: before you say anything …

I am up early!

Although not as early as last week.

But I’m up early for similar reasons.

I’m off to hospital: for my regular diabetic blood tests.

Thankfully … ?

It’s in Brentwood Community Hospital: rather than Basildon.

The trip’s going to be shorter … !

Just as a last thought … ?

I caught Frankenstein, the 2025 version, on Friday.

It’s rather good.

I’ll have a fuller review up, later … !

“The incredible thing happens at the beginning of the story always, you notice, not the end.   A Sherlock Holmes story is never a trick story.”
Rex Stout, 1 December 1886 – 27 October 1975.
A song …

And an earworm …

The next ten question set is on 5th December: it’s about The Great Smog!

Your comments will be published, and today’s questions answered, in tomorrow’s Teaser.

The author avoids AI, when writing these questions.

Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

Post a Comment

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
