I've had a big surprise this morning. I went shopping and when I got back I realised my friend Iman (the Egyptian nurse I met in Eastbourne who now lives in Paris, and whose daughter is my goddaughter) had sent me a message. It seems the whole family have decided to come to Barcelona for a city break, and they're getting here later today, so I'm trying to finish doing a few things before they get here. They got accommodation elsewhere (we don't have space at my mother's for the three), but I think it will be busy. I thought I'd let you know so you don't worry if I don't appear. They're going back on Sunday, and I had already arrranged to cover a news item on Sunday morning, but we'll have to play it by ear, as I don't know the details of their trip. Take care and I'll catch up when I can.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
