Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 13-5-2026 — 133

13th May, 2026: № 133.

Right … it’s officially Wednesday … !

Which means it’s getting nearer to payday.

I’m looking forward to that: I’m ok for most things, but being able to buy a can of Diet Coke would be nice.

~≈🥤≈~

I’ve also managed to update my Mac: from macOS 26·4·1 to macOS 26·5.

I don’t think I’ve noticed much that’s different.

But there HAS been a lot of bug fixes.

That’s unusual in my experience: macOS is usually fairly bug free.

I can only hope those fixes were minor …

Just as a last thought … ?

I’ve found out how to access a USB stick plugged into my router: and access it from my computer.

I’ve got a sixteen gigabyte one plugged in, as I write.

You’ve noticed I said that it’s a sixteen gigabyte one?

It is: quite why my system is telling me the thing’s got two hundred or so megabytes free?

I don’t know: I’ll have to check that out …

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        13th May is the 133rd day of a non-leap year.   Is 133 a prime number?

Q2)        Is 133 odd or even?

Q3)        The 133 Bus goes through Old Bridge Township.   Route — and township — are where: New York state, New Jersey or New Mexico?

Q4)        133 Cyrene is a what: meteorite, asteroid or comet?

Q5)        Finally … ?   The SEAT 133 was introduced in 1974.   What is the SEAT 133: a motorbike, a car or a milk float?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

A1)        Cyprus.

Q2)        Thomas Kyd was arrested for libel: on 12th May, 1593.   By whom: the Metropolitan Police, the Privy Council or the Yeomen Warders of His Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress the Tower of London, and Members of the Sovereign’s Body Guard of the Yeoman Guard Extraordinary?
A2)        The Privy Council.   (The Yeomen Warders are better known as the Beefeaters: and are distinct from the Yeomen of the Guard.   Who are also called Beefeaters …)

Q3)        12th May is the International Day of Plant Health.   According to whom: the United Nations, the European Union or NATO?
A3)        The United Nations, or UN.

Q4)        Florence Nightingale was born on 12th May.   Of which year of the 1820s?
A4)        1820.

Q5)        Finally … ?   Indra Devi was born on 12th May, 1899.   She helped popularise what, in the US: yoga, cricket or soccer?
A5)        Yoga.
Here’s a thought …
“133 (one hundred [and] thirty-three) is the natural number following 132 and preceding 134.”
From the Wikipedia entry on the number.
And a song …

The next ten question sets will be on the 17th, 26th and 31st May, and on 3rd June: they’re about Dennis Potter, Miles Davis, Trinity Sunday and Liverpool football club.

Your comments, and today’s answers, will be published in tomorrow’s Teaser.

AI is avoided when writing these questions.

Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
