Q4)20th May is World Bee Day. Bees are what: omnivores, herbivores or carnivores?
A4)Herbivores. (The Sugarbag bee’s scientific name is ‘Tetragonula carbonaria’. Which makes it sound like pasta …)
Q5)Finally … ? 20th May is Doug the Pug Day, in Nashville, Tennessee. Doug the Pug is a what: cat, dog or hamster?
A5)Dog. (Doug’s no sillier a fad than the late Tardar Sauce: no sillier than Grumpy Cat … )
Here’s a thought …
“A thermonuclear war cannot be considered a continuation of politics by other means (according to the formula of Clausewitz). It would be a means of universal suicide.”
Andrei Sakharov, 21 May 1921 – 14 December 1989.
And music by Lee ‘Shot’ Williams …

‡ I’ll keep my fingers crossed, Debbi! (Oh, I’ve got another ten question set planned for the 7th June … !)
Q6) Ironside Hi, Paul. Sorry for not visiting very often. We've had a few weeks of various appointments (they came to reassess my mother's dependency level, she had her bloods taken, appointments with the nurse, the doctor, and the social worker, and we also got her a walker to try and help with her mobility. She's still getting used to that one, but although she resisted the idea at first, the fact that it has a bag incorporated and you don't need to carry lots of thing with you seems to have convinced her a bit. They granted her a higher degree of dependency (and that means a bit more money, but also that she qualifies for attending a day centre, or eventually going to a nursing home if needs be). The illness is moving slowly, but if I look back a year or so, she needs much more help than then, and she cannot do much by herself now. I had a psychologist visiting to talk to me and offer me some support (some of her suggestions were reassuring, and they ran online groups, that makes it easier to attend), and I'm still doing some workshops on dementia and other topics that might be helpful (how to avoid accidents is coming up soon). I hope everything is going well with you. I often think of you and your questions, but it tends to be either very late or when I'm in the middle of trying to do something else. It can be challenging to find time for anything, at least dedicated time that is not being constantly interrupted, but... Take care and give my best to everybody. ♥
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
