Q1)The late John Ravenscroft was born on 30th August, 1939. He was better known as which Radio 1 DJ?
A1)John Peel. (The Peel Sessions were legendary: and provided a start for some serious musical heavyweights. Bowie, Bolan, the Who, and many others, all recorded sessions for Peel. So did John Williams! Dear Gods, John Williams!)
Q2)Augustus and John Allen founded Houston on 30th August, 1836. It’s in which US state?

* Hello, Mum! (Five out of five, yesterday: well done!)
† It’s worth a go, Debbi: even though I don’t think it’s accurate: it’s about a group of MI5 agents who keep saying they’re spies. They’re security officers, rather than intelligence officers.
BTW, I remember reading about the Peel sessions. Probably in Rolling Stone or Creem Magazine.
I remember wishing I could've been at the Cavern Club with the Beatles (when they were The Quarrymen). Or watching The Who (when they were The Detours) just starting out.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

That sounds interesting. MI5 and MI6 make quite a duo. Then, there's MI9, which also intrigues me.
