Hmmm …
That’s going to kick up a bit of a stink.
Seemingly, the US government’s National Security Agency have managed to strong-arm US phone company, Verizon, to turn over half a ton of data about calls made on their network.
Without needing a warrant.
And, seemingly, has back door access into the servers of several large multinationals: Apple, Google, Microsoft and others: granted, only monitoring connections, rather than content and connections, but even so …
Now, I’ve got nothing to hide. But I have reservations about my government peeking over my digital shoulder. I’d rather someone else’s government wasn’t joining them, given the nature of the companies concerned.
Hmmm … Let’s move on, shall we? Before I start ranting.
