You know, I’m feeling vaguely rushed, tonight.
Rushed … and nervous.
Frankly?
I’ve had the day off, today.
And was expecting a rather important call.
Which hasn’t happened, yet.
So I’m expecting all sorts!
On top of that? I have an early start, tomorrow.
Ideally, I should be getting an early night, because of that.
But … ?
I did want to tell you I’d seen something, tonight.
That’s right …

The film opens in modern day Paris: showing us Wonder Woman in her alter ego, as Diana Prince.
Receiving an old photo from Bruce Wayne: curious to know why someone identical to Prince was spotted behind German lines, towards the end of World War One.
Prince emails over her life story.
How she grew up on the isle of Themyscira, the daughter of Queen Hippolyte, was trained by various forms of combat by her Aunt Antiope …
And eventually?
Goes out into the world after Captain Steven Trevor crash lands on the island.
Warning of the oncoming war that’s chasing behind him …

Now … in doing — for me — a comparatively short write up, you might — might — accuse me of giving Wonder Woman short shift.
You could.
On the other hand?
That’s a function of me feeling rushed.
Wonder Woman is a great big fun romp: with sympathetic lead characters in Wonder Woman and Captain Trevor (Gal Gadot and Chris Pine), a menacing villain in Erich Ludendorff (Danny Huston) and all sorts of surprise reveals about Ares.
Frankly?
Wonder Woman isn’t the best film I’ve seen in a while.
But is — in doing for Wonder Woman what Batman Begins did for Batman — introduces the character in a very watchable way.
It’s not the best film I’ve seen in a while.
But is the best super hero film I’ve seen for a while.
