The Daily Teaser …

How did we find the Elvis teaser, yesterday?

Good?

I’ve got to admit, I had a good time, researching that; I don’t know if it’s just me, but I generally find the themed questions quite a challenge to write.

Intellectual stimulation, if you want.

And they’re always something that always throws up surprises … ! (I do know my mother only got four out ten … come on, Mum, you grew up, around then!!)

But let’s move on, shall we?

Shall we?

Yes, lets!

Here’s today’s questions and answers …

Q1) August 17th, 1887, saw the birth of Afro-American Civil Rights leader, Marcus Garvey; members of which religion regard him as a prophet?

Q2) August 17th, 1907, saw the opening of Pike Place Market, the world’s longest running farmer’s market; in which US city is Pike Place Market?

Q3) One year later, “Fantasmagorie”, the world’s first cartoon, was first shown; in which European city?

Q4) August 17th, 1953, saw the first meeting of which 12 Step group; AA, CA, or NA?

Q5) And finally, today in 1998, President Clinton admitted to a Grand Jury, that he’d had an inappropriate relationship … with who?

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

A1) 1977.

A4) “Heartbreak Hotel”.

Q5) More to the point, what was Elvis’ first UK No. 1?

A6) JXL

Q7) 1957 saw the release of the “Elvis Christmas Album”; was that his second, third or fourth album?

A7) Third.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
