The Daily Teaser …

Oy Veh!

Do you remember me mentioning, yesterday, that I had a job interview lined up?

Britain’s weather can be very frustrating, at times like this. Because it got snowed off … !

I know my Russian neighbour always tells us that Moscow — in Midsummer — handles snow a lot better than most of the UK.

And doesn’t run out of grit.

Which — as far as I can find out — is why the interview’s been re-arranged: the person who was supposed to e interview got snowed in!

But let’s move on, shall we?

Yes, let’s!

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Andrea, Simon and Tim all get 6 out of 6, with Andrea beating everyone to the Official First-In-Clap!

Simon, hand Andrea the ointment, there’s a good chap!

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the ‘How To’ and License

Q1) 7th January, 1965 saw which twins arrested on charges of Menacing?

Q2) 7th January, 1904, saw the introduction of the original radio distress signal: what was that distress signal?

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q6) And finally … many member’s of which religious movement celebrate the (ceremonial) birthday of Haile Selassie I.

A6) Rastafarianism. (So so you know, some Rasta find the term mildly offensive. What they’d make of Tim’s Rusty Fairy’s line, I don’t know: it had me grinning, though.)

Enjoy those, everyone, I’ll catch you later!

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
