The Daily Teaser …

Hmmmm …

Well …

I’m still using Chrome. Which isn’t that bad, but I’m still annoyed about Safari crashing, yesterday.

But that’s not why we’re here, is it?

Is it?

It’s not …

Yesterday’s teaser saw Simon, bless him, manage to get 5 out of 5, and the Official First In Clap.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the ‘How To’ and License

Q1) 13th February, 1633, saw who arrive in Rome, to face heresy charges, before the Inquisition? (And if no-one quotes that Monty Python sketch, I’ll be handing out meaningful looks … !)

Q2) 91 years earlier, 13th February, 1542, saw the execution of Henry 8th fifth wife, on charges of Treason and Adultery: who was she?

Q3) More to the point, how was she executed?

Q4) 13th February, 1692, saw the Glencoe Massacre take place: during this, members of which Scottish clan were killed?

Q5) And finally … 13th February, 2000, saw the last of the original run of which cartoon strip published?

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 12th February, 1809, saw the birth of the 16th President of the USA: who was he?
A1) Abraham Lincoln.

Q2) By a huge co-incidence, 12th February, 1809, also saw the birth of which scientist?
A2) Charles Darwin.

Q3) 12th February, 1994, saw determined art-thieves steal which famous painting by Edvard Munch?
A3) The Scream.

Q4) 12th February, 1818, saw political leader, Bernardo O’Higgins approve his country’s Declaration of Independence: what was his country?
A4) Chile.

Q5) And finally … 12th February, 2000, saw the death of which flamboyant pianist?
A5) Jalacy ‘Screaming Jay’ Hawkins.

Enjoy those, everyone, I’ll catch you later!

Ah … !

Now THAT’s Handy!

Look’s like Safari’s up and running, again …

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
