The Daily Teaser …

You know, I’ve got to admit, I had something of a late night, last night.

Mostly where Movie Night Adrian, Dr Kevin and I were watching Valhalla Rising. Fascinating film to watch, I’m thinking …

But I’m burbling, aren’t I … ?

Yesterday’s teaser saw Trevor scoring 5 out of 5, and putting in some rather good quotes from the late Christopher Marlowe.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we … ? Here they are, along with the ‘How To’ and License

Q1) 19th May, 1499, saw Catherine of Aragon married — by proxy — to which Tudor prince?

Q2) 69 years later, 19th May, 1568, saw Elizabeth 1st order the arrest of who?

Q3) Moving on, 19th May, 1972, saw the birth of Swedish singer, Jenny Berggren: of which Swedish band was she a member?

Q4) 29 years earlier, 19th May, 1943, saw Prime Minister Winston Churchill and US President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, set the date for what?

Q5) And finally … 19th May, 1974, saw who elected as French President, after the second round of elections?

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 18th May, 1980, saw the eruption of Mount St. Helens: in which US state is Mount St. Helens?
A1) Washington.

Q2) 22 years earlier, 17th May, 1958, saw the birth of which English singer and actress?

Q3) 18th May, 1998, saw the US Department of Justice, along with about 20 US States, file anti-trust legislation against which software company?
A3) Microsoft. (Microsoft repeatedly lost. On appeal. And I won’t mention falsification of videotaped evidence, if you don’t … !!)

Q4) 18th May, 1593, saw the issuing of an arrest warrant for who, on charges of heresy?
A4) Christopher Marlowe.

Q5) And finally … 18th May, 1990, saw the death of actress, Jill Ireland: who was her second husband?

Enjoy those, everyone. I’ll catch you later … !

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
