You know, I know perfectly well, I’m possibly going to pay for this in the morning.
But I’ve got to admit, I’ve been out and about.
A rather nice light lunch at Cafe Amoré*, just off Brentwood High Street.
And a movie, this evening.
Bless ’em, me two sisters, Anna and Ruth, decided to treat me to a film tonight.
And just in case you hadn’t worked it out … ?
Tonight’s film was the Greg Mottola directed, sci-fi comedy, Paul
.
Which is why I think Anna and Ruth thought would be a good one to go and see … !
It sees Nick Frost and Simon Pegg as Graeme and Clive, two friends who — on a trip to ComicCon — deciding to travel back across the States to see various sites noted for UFO spottings.

Is the rather unusual hitchhiker they manage to pick up on the way.
Now I’ll happily admit that Paul isn’t a highbrow, art-house flick.
But it is rather good fun …

Actually, more of a laugh-out-loud film … ?
Was the film that Kevin D, Tootles Sarah, Movie Night Adrian and I managed to catch, last night: the 2009, Ruben Fleischer directe zombie comedy, Zombieland
.
Set after a plague which turns much of the USA’s population into the eponymous zombies of the title, it sees Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Emma Stone as Columbus, Tallahasie and Wichita, battling their way across the undead infested country, trying to get the form member of the team — Abigail Breslin, as Little Rock — to Pacific Playground, where she believes the group will be safe.
Now, again, Zombieland
isn’t a serious film.
But neither it, nor Paul claim to be.
But I think I preferred it.
Give it a whirl.
